The abstract aerial photographs are my favourites. They contain no recognisable object to suggest what exactly has been captured. They have no horizon, waves, trees, people or buildings, no context… they have no scale! They could be part of the macro world, but also a scene viewed through a microscope. It could be part of an oil painting or a charcoal sketch. They are open-ended narratives that the viewer is free to complete for themselves.
